Sometime during the day of October 17, 1953 a beautiful brown skin baby boy was born to Wyatt Maurice and Imogene Jones Jackson. This loving mother and father lovingly named their Bundle of Joy "Wyatt Maurice." The proud parents took their first born son home to meet his older sister, Carol Ann who was anxiously awaiting her little brother's arrival at their home in Sedalia, Missouri. As Wyatt would grow, he later became the older brother to Michael, to sisters, Alecia and Bonita and to his younger brothers, William, Donald and Martin. After school Wyatt often played with his sisters and brothers and enjoyed playing a game of basketball. Wyatt loved the sport of basketball so much that he played for his high school team where he graduated in 1971 from Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Missouri. Applying the values and disciplines taught by his parents, after finishing school, Wyatt began working at the Rival Manufacturing Company until 1977. Wyatt and his siblings grew up with a family friend named Stephanie Miller. The two began dating and on May 28, 1974 and a bouncing baby boy was born and took on the namesake, "Wyatt Maurice." Although he was born and raised in Sedalia, Wyatt traded in the small town feel for the "Big City" lights and headed to Houston, Texas. In 1977, Wyatt met and married Quiniden Venetta Buckner and on September 30, 1979 a precious baby girl was born to this union whom they affectionately named "Venetta Jackson." Wyatt also began working for Union Pacific Railroad where he worked tirelessly throughout the areas of Houston. Many days and nights he remained "on-call" ensuring those who traveled the rail system were safe and worry free. In 2001 Wyatt met Semetria Michelle Gary and the two became friends. They remained "just friends" and about four years later Wyatt decided to ask her to become his "Main Squeeze." Semetria affectionately known as "Michelle" and Wyatt continued to remain close and committed to each other through thick and through thin, through sunshine and rain; through ups and downs; with happiness and heartache that the two later decided to tie the knot and the two become one. As Wyatt continued to fight his Fight, he remained closed to his family and friends. On Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the wee hours of the morning, God dispatched an angel of love to his aching body and called him from labor to reward. With his loving wife and sister Alecia by his side, Wyatt went home to join his loving mother and father, two brothers, "Donald and William" and his closest friend "Nick" who had went on before him. To cherish his precious memories are: Wife Semetria "Michelle"; Son, Wyatt Maurice Mitchell; Daughter, Venetta Jackson Daviss; Brothers and Sisters: Carol (Charles) Brown; Michael Jackson; Alecia (Greg) Luchin; Bonita Nash and Martin (Ingrid) Jackson. His beautiful grandchildren: Lexxus Ellyse, Kailee Murchaun, Cordarian Maurice, Kashe Peyton, Camille Alece and Jackson Kyle.
