W.R. Craig, known as Tony by his friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 1st after a long fight with cancer. Born on Nov.26,1924, he grew up in Orange, Texas. He served his country in the Navy during WWII, and the Air Force as a fighter pilot in Korea. A graduate of the University of Texas, he spent most of his career in the steel business with Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company, retiring as Vice-President of Sales.
He had a great passion for people, was a friend to all, and spent great efforts over the years trying to conquer the golf course, to mixed results. He will be truly missed by his family and many, many friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 5th at 11am, at Kingsland Baptist Church, 20555 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, TX.
