February 1968, she married Mr. Savania Perry. Fay was blessed with four children, Harlan Keith Black, Jennifer, William Eric, and Steven Charles: stepdaughters Stephanie Perry Fisher, Jacqueline Perry, Cheryl Brown (James) and stepson Savania Perry, Jr. She has eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
As a Christian, wife, mother, and a homemaker, Fay was talented, strong, capable and worked tirelessly, always striving to make everything better. More than anything, Fay cherished her roles as a mother and later as a proud grandmother and great grandmother. Her passions in life included serving in Christian ministry, loving her family and extended family, sewing, working in her vegetable garden, canning fruits and vegetables, cooking and baking.
Fay's earthly journey came to an end on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, mother, father, twin-brother William Ray Black, aunts, uncles, host of cousins, family, and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church Without Walls, 5725 Queenston Blvd, Houston, TX 77084. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 5725 Queenston Blvd, Houston, TX 77084. A committal service will occur Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
