Wilma Louise Pavlicek Cook was born in Frydek, Texas on Friday, July 9, 1937, to parents Charles A. and Annie Pavlicek. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the age of 74.
In 2007, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Cook. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Mikulec and husband Roy, Trena Williams and husband Steve; son, Marty Cook and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Kevin Mikulec, Melissa Gordon and husband Lindsey, Zachary Mikulec and wife Jessica, Chad and Ryan Williams, Cooper, Abigail and Jonathan Cook and by great grandson, Devin Mikulec.
Family and friends will gather at a visitation on Wednesday, the 7th of September from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, where the Rosary will be recited at seven o'clock.
The Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 8th of September in the sanctuary of St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Houston, Texas, with Reverend Monsignor Dan Scheel as celebrant.
Following a brief reception at the church, family and friends will once again gather at half past two o'clock in the afternoon for the Rite of Committal in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, 525 Fifth St. in Sealy Texas.
