Willie Mae Hulett-Dawson

Mrs. Willie Mae Robinson Hulett Dawson was born January 8, 1936 in Houston, Texas to the late William Robinson and Edna Mae Thompson. She was raised in the Fourth Ward of Houston Texas, known as the Freedman's Town where the streets were paved with bricks. She graduated from Booker T. Washington, where she was top of her class.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and lived so others can see the Godly in her. Heart of gold and would help anyone she could. A great momma that loved her family.

Willie Mae went to school for bank teller where she discover her love for cleanliness, She later started a service for domestic engineering, and she worked for many years.

Willie Mae was united in holy matrimony to Javance Dawson Sr. and he now preceeds her in death. Willie Mae had eight children and loved them all dearly. She later was united in holy matrimony to Warren Hulett where he preceeds her in death. Willie Mae has been retired for many years and loved going to garage sales where she found great deals.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Robinson and Edna Mae Thompson, her sons James T. Dawson, Javance Dawson. Jr., Frederick Blair Dawson and her sister Viola Blakes.

She leaves to cherish her memories five children, and one son-in- law, Robert Thomas, daughters, Janice Dawson Thomas, Edith Jewel Dawson, Kim Patrice Dawson, Phylecia Dawson Lewis, Vanessa Leia Dawson. Fourteen grandchildren, Fourteen great grandchildren and Two great great grandchildren, Two sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Willie Mae passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. A visitation for Willie Mae will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with funeral services starting at 10:00 AM at The Community of Faith Church, 1024 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX 77091.

A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
