Willie Mae graduated from Reagan High School - Houston, Texas in 1932. She was married to Thomas C. Hasty on July 3, 1934. Willie Mae had a career as a Dietary Supervisor for Miami County Hospital - Paola, Kansas. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas, where she taught the Grace Class for 20+ years. Willie Mae loved to garden, even telling the nursing home staff it was what she most wished she could still do. And she loved all of her family passionately.
Willie Mae is survived by; daughter Theresa Carol Hasty Laws and her husband Anthony, six grandchildren, 10 great-granchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by; parents W.C. Timme and Martha Balke; daughter Margaret Eunette Hasty Carkhuff and son-in-law Eugene Cakhuff; brothers, Roland and Roy Timme and their wives Leah and Rubylee, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A visitation for Willie Mae will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Family Chapel with a committal service to follow immediately at Brookside Memorial Park.
