William "Willie" Franklin III, 62, passed away on January 8, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, William "Dub" Taylor Jr. and Elizabeth Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Taylor; daughter, Misty Meek and husband Ken; grandchildren, Bryce Hailey, Courtney Meek, Slade Meek, McKenna Meek; and nephew, Jesse Russell and wife Katie. Willie is also survived by siblings, Walt Triplett, Gary Taylor and wife Melissa, Franklene Taylor, Dalene Roberts and Brad, Steve Taylor; aunt, Dortha Hutchunson; mother-in-law, Nelda Rogers; sister-in-law, Gloria Russell and numerous other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven. A celebration of his life will held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with burial to follow in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
