William Emmett Ward

William E. Ward, age 82, passed away Feb. 24, 2012 from sudden illness. Bill was born and raised near Tulsa, OK and is preceded in death by his adoptive parents William Jasper and Kate Ward, his first wife Jeannie and their son William Emmett Ward Jr. He is survived by his children James Ward, Brian Ward, Cathy Austin, Patricia Bark, Kevin Ward and Kelly Ward. Also, survived by his wife of 45 years Ann M. Ward and her children, Andrea Briers, Bette Briers, David Briers and Lewis Briers; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his beloved cat Buffalo Emmett (Buff).

Bill worked for many years at Triangle Reproductions Inc., starting out in Tulsa then moving with the firm in the early 1960's to Houston, TX where he made his home for 50+ years. He retired from Triangle in 1991 and enjoyed a very peacefull retirement with his wife Ann. Bill would make the trek almost daily to spend an hour or two visiting with his pals at the West Alabama Ice House, pitching horseshoes then later on washers and telling large stories over a cold beer with his old friends.

Bill will be remembered by his friends and family as a quiet and gentle man with a very quick wit and great sense of humor. Bill was quick to tell people "You're Fired" long before 'The Donald' ever did. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
