William Alfred Streich Jr.

August 21, 1930 – February 2, 2015

On February 2, 2015, William Alfred (Bill) Streich, Jr. passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jane, daughter Beverly and her three daughters Mandy, Lindsay and Katy, daughter Susan, her husband, Greg, and their two children, Megan and Matthew, and sons Billy and Steven. Born in Houston, Bill was a long time resident of Sugar Land. He was a wonderful son, father, husband, paw-paw, neighbor and friend for 84 years. He was a graduate of Lamar High School in Houston, and Texas A&M University (class of ’52,) where he majored in journalism. After a tour of duty in the air force, Bill followed his career path in journalism, teaching at Dulles and Clements High Schools. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2:00 p.m. at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge Rd., Sugar Land, TX.
