William Wallace Roche, 84, died peacefully on May 08, 2010. Born June 29, 1925 in Oak Park, IL, Bill was the youngest of nine Children born to John Francis and Bertha Buchanan Roche. He attended Fenwick High in Chicago, foregoing his formal graduation to enlist in the Army Air Corps. He served honorably in both WWII theaters. After the War, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Quincy College in Illinois where he met and married his beautiful wife of 59 years, Mary Anne Collins. Bill Worked his entire career for Binks Manufacturing, a Chicago-based, family led industrial spray equipment company in which he served as southwest regional sales manager in Dallas and a member of the Board of Directors until his retirement in 1994.
A lover for the West, Bill with family enjoyed many wonderful vacations southwestern Colorado. Bill is survived by his spouse, Mary Anne, children Maureen Lynam (Steve), Billy Roche (Janey), Peggy Burdon (Rick), Nancy Muldoon (Pat), Terry Roche (Tere), Greg Roche (Pam) and Shannon Knight (Rob), grandchildren Sean Lynam (Tracy), Kelly Lynam, Megan Heyn (Patrick), Collin and Ben Roche, Matt and Brett Dewhurst, Whitney Burdon, Molly Muldoon, Shea and Paul Roche, Jack, Thomas and Patrick Roche, Luke and Cameron Knight, great grandchildren Hailey and Matthew Lynam, sisters Jane Webb and Ginny Rossi. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, John Francis and Bertha Buchanan Roche, brothers Jack and Burke Roche, sisters Frances Watts, Helen Griffin, Grace Sanders and Martha Roche.
A visitation will be held on May 11th from 5-8 PM with a 7 PM rosary at Brookside Funeral Home Champions, 3410 FM 1960 West, Houston. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM, May 12th at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood, Houston Followed by an interment service at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston. There will be a memorial service in Dallas, TX on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Jesuit College Preparatory School, 12345 Inwood Road at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Mary Anne and family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their dignified care given to Bill in his time of need.
