William Jewel Howard, 91 went home to be with Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in College Station, TX. William was born on August 22, 1921 to Archibald J. Howard and Fannie Williamson Howard in Fort Worth, TX. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents; wife of 49 years, Iris B. Howard; two brothers, Ronald D. Howard and Dorrin L. Howard and a granddaughter, Candace G. Howard. William leaves to continue his legacy of life and love, two sons, William J. Howard, Jr. and wife Karen J. and Mark Howard and wife Terri; one daughter, Debbie DuBois and husband Tom; grandchildren, Christian P. Howard and wife Stephanie, David R. Howard and wife Danyelle, Chantel Connell and husband Jeremy, Renee L. DuBois, Jessica A. DuBois, Jeremy Howard and wife Kristin and Melissa Melnyk and husband Walt; great-grandchildren, Stella M. Howard, Joshua P. Howard, Katie Melnyk, Colton Melnyk, Brooklyn Howard, William J. “Will” Howard and Kristie Tilton. William was a decorated combat veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. and was a member of the 100th Bombardment Group (H) and the Anson Jones Masonic Lodge. He started the Howard Construction Company of Houston along with his father and brothers. William will always be remembered as a loving father of integrity and character. Visitation with William will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the Celebration of William’s Life commencing at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Baldwin officiating. William will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery with full military honors following an escorted cortege.
