William Henry Cook Sr.,88, of Houston went to be with his Lord Saturday, January 22, 2011. He was born May 23, 1922 in Lampasas, TX to WilliamThomas and Alice Lee Cook. William was a WWII Veteran who recieved a purple heart during the war. William is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Louella Cook; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers; 1 grandson; and 1 daughter-in-law. William is survived by his loving children, Mac Cook Sr., Cynthia Cook, William Cook Jr. and wife Regina, Roy Cook and wife Betty; 3 brothers Leslie , Floyd, Harvey ; grandchildren, Carrie Giannette, Allison Kurwitz and husband Cable, Penny Kelley and husband Danny, Donna Cook, Mac Cook Jr., William Cook, Cindy Morgan; 5 great-grandchildren, Heather, Aven, Rebecca, Abby, Augustus; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Faith; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be 12:30 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
