Dean was born in Odessa, Texas in 1949 before moving to Houston where he graduated from Memorial High School. Dean attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Dean spent forty plus years in the oil and gas industry including owning and operating B & B Productions with his father. For his last twenty years Dean had the privilege to work for Cullen Spitzer, “one of the finest gentleman he ever knew.”
In his earlier years Dean was an avid fisherman and duck hunter. He married the love of his life, Charlynne, in 1976 and the couple had two boys, Ben and Travis. Dean was a devoted family man and coached numerous little league soccer, baseball, football and basketball teams. The greatest joy Dean had was being “Papa Dean” to his three beautiful granddaughters. Whoever knew Dean was familiar with his quick wit and direct approach.
Dean is survived by his wife, Charlynne, sons Ben and Travis, sister Diane (DD), brother David, granddaughters Lilly, Marlee and Heidi, daughter in-laws Gina and Kori, nieces Blair, Amanda, and Brandie, and nephews Todd and Brewer.
