William "Bill" Bruce Stanley

William Bruce Stanley, “Bill”, age 90 of Houston, Texas, went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2022. He was born on May 9, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Robertine Roeland and Frank Mack Stanley . He had three siblings: Marilyn, Louise and Fred. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robertine and Frank, and his sister Marilyn.

Bill was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Southeastern High School in 1949. In the winter of 1957, while working at a service station, he noticed the love of his life, Dolores. When she wrecked her car and needed help, he immediately volunteered to drive the truck and pick her up. They were united in marriage on August 15, 1958. Their love is unique, long lasting, and unconditional. Together Bill and Dolores raised their five children: Michael Peter Stanley, William David Stanley, Susan Marie Cesarz, John Frank Stanley, and Kimberly Ann Stewart. Bill Stanley served in the air force for two years, and then received an apprenticeship as a mechanic. He was always finding something to build, fix, or improve.

Bill Stanley is survived by his wife, Dolores Stanley, children: Mike Stanley, Bill Stanley, Sue Cesarz, John Stanley, and Kim Stewart, grandchildren Dani Stanley, Dylan Stanley, Mike Cesarz, Christi Cruse, Coco Stewart, and Bobby Stewart. Bill is also survived by four great grandchildren: Brayston, Camden, and Evelyn Cesarz, and Lacey Cruse.

Family and friends will gathered to honor Bill Stanley on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Because Bill loved his family, spending time together is the best reflection of his legacy and our love for him.
