William H Barry

William H. Barry passed away June 5, 2016 at the age of 89 years old. Bill was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on August 22, 1926 to Louis Morton Barry and Catharine Ryan Barry. The family moved to Arizona when Bill was a child and he graduated from grade school and high school in Phoenix. Following three years service in the U.S. Navy in WWII, Bill attended Phoenix Junior College and the University of Southern California from which he graduated with a Chemical Engineering. After four years in Venezuela with Creole Petroleum, he had a successful career of international marketing in the oil industry, retiring from full time employment in 1991. Over the years her served as international sales manager for several well known oilfield equipment manufacturers. Bill was a regular member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Nomads and the American Legion. Mr. Barry is survived by his son Michael Barry, his daughter Kathleen Carreiro and granddaughter Isabel Carreiro all of Merritt Island, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Patricia Barry and his beloved wife, Etta Barry, with whom he shared many happy and loving years. Service is on June 25, 2016 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Lawndale.
