Wayne Albert Thibeaux was born on July 4th, 1965 as a free spirit! He loved all of his family and those around him. Growing up, he enjoyed family, soccer, friends, fishing with his grandfather while eating Funyuns® and drinking Yoohoos® out of the back of his El Camino. He loved getting his hands on his guitar and visiting New York during the summer months. Eventually, Wayne became a proud father of four, which then led to becoming a grandfather to five.
Many of the days led to “let’s play hooky from work, go fishing, crawfish all day, then go home and cook!” He loved and lived life as he wanted. He was always full of laughter and told the corniest jokes most didn’t understand, but all that really mattered was that he got the joke. He had a passion for both food and Christ. His life’s dream was to own a family restaurant and to make others happy through his food.
Let us all celebrate his life as we remember. Let us celebrate his passions – family and food. As Wayne always said, “any idiot can follow a recipe, but what they don’t have is my technique.” Wayne, it is your spirit, love, and compassion for all things and people that make you all the more memorable.
