Wayne S. Golden, age 87, of Coldspring, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, surrounded by family, who Sang him Home, to Jesus. Wayne was born in Trinity County on January 5, 1935 to parents James Hughie Golden, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Miller (Golden). He met the love of his life Barbara in Houston and they married on April 17, 1954. Together they spent 63 wonderful years.
Wayne worked in the Elevators Industry for 30 plus years. He was a member of National Elevator Industry, Magnolia Baptist Church, and an honorary member of International Union of Elevator Constructors “IUEC Local 31”. Wayne was an honest and hardworking man. Truly a man of integrity. He was always helping others, yet, never asked others for help. Always caring for his girls, while helping, with repairs for his widowed Mother-in-law & Sister-Law. Wayne was a man with a big heart and was not afraid to cry and not afraid to defend his family. He was a Man's Man, a Godly Man, Husband, Father & Pepaw.
A visitation for Wayne will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Magnolia Baptist Church, 811 Lilley Yeager Loop N., Cleveland, TX 77328. A funeral service will follow and begin promptly at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
