Walter Kopycinski

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marjory Kopycinski; daughter Brenda K. Laymance and her husband Reid; daughter Cindy K. Riggin; son Kevin Kopycinski; and four grandchildren: Rane Laymance, Austin Laymance, April Riggin and Max Riggin.

Walter is also survived by his brothers Florence Kopycinski, Raymond Kopycinski and sister Marie Hemphill. He is preceded in death by his parents Theresa and Walter Kopycinski, brother T.J. and sister Dora.

Walter, who grew up on the George Ranch in Richmond and went on to a 45-year career in the banking industry, enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling to casinos, and watching the Astros.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Kantarjian and his staff at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Thursday, Oct. 14th at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Walter’s Celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15th in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rane Laymance, Austin Laymance, Robert Hemphill, Joey Kopycinski, Kerry Nyquest and Curtis Maxey.
