Vivian Joyce Bailey

Vivian “Joyce” Bailey, age 90, slipped gently into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, the 22nd of September 2011. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Houston photographer, the late Marvin Bailey.

Joyce leaves behind many loving relatives and friends who look forward to a joyous reunion in Heaven. Among them are her son, Ken Bailey and his wife, Patty; granddaughter, Rebecca Hemenway and her husband, Vernon; great granddaughters, Emily and Allie-Grace; great grandson, Luke; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Bailey.

The family wishes to thank the many who have lovingly cared for Mrs. Bailey over the years with a special thanks to Juana Roman who was with her until her gentle home going.

The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 27th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where Rev. Milton Bailey and Rev. Joel Bauler, are to officiate. Prior to the service, during the ten o'clock hour, the family is to receive friends during a visitation in the chapel.

The interment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, in Houston.
