Known to her family and friends as “Ginger”, she was born to O’neal Davidson and Elsie Birmingham on October 24, 1937, at St. Joseph’s Infirmary in Houston, Texas. She attended Milby High School through her Junior year, later earning her GED.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karla Boyd and husband, Harold; and Rhonna Brock and husband, John. She also leaves to cherish her memory: grandson, Tim Boyd and granddaughter, Bonnie Butler and husband, Brandon; and great-granddaughters, Audrey and Presley Butler. Ginger is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers O’neal Davidson and Jimmie Davidson; sister, Sue McClary; and nephews, Jimmie Davidson, Jr., Jeffrey Davidson, and Billy McClary.
Ginger worked for many years in the title insurance industry. She revealed her creative side through the many crafts she loved making, but her true joy was serving in the Sunday School and Children’s Ministries at Faithbridge Church and volunteering at Deer Park’s Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry every Tuesday.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2021 at 6 pm at Faithbridge Church, 4711 Center St., Deer Park, Texas. Rev. Jim Kilgore and Pastor Tonia Smith will officiate the ceremony. If you desire to make a donation to honor Ginger’s memory, nothing would please her more than your contribution to the Children’s Ministry at Faithbridge Church.
