Mrs Virginia Earl Rhea

Virginia was born in Stamford, Texas to Earl & Maude Osment on August 28, 1923. She had lived in Houston since 1946. Virginia was a graduate of Stamford High School and attended Draughns Business College in Abilene, Texas. She married William Rhea Jr. on April 10, 1946 and they were married 59 years before he passed away in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Wayne Rhea. She is survived by one son, Neal Rhea and wife Peggy, one daughter, Brenda Rhea James, 6 grandchildren, Kellie, Kris, Brandon, Ollie, Hannah and Christa, and 9 great grandchildren and lots of friends.

She was a member of Reid Memorial United Methodist Church for 20 years, St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church for 35 years, and joined Winwood Presbyterian Church when she and Ralph married.

Visitation will be held at Pat H. Foley & Co. at 1200 W. 34th Street Houston, TX 77018 on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be held in the same location on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Virginia’s name to the Star of Hope Mission or the American Diabetes Association.
