Virginia Rogers Rader passed away on August 21, 2017, at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. Affectionately known as “Ginger”, she was born in Houston on August 22, 1937, to Earnest E. Rogers, Sr., and Virginia (Haynie) Rogers. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Earnest E. Rogers, Jr. She was survived by her nephew, Darrell E. Rogers, her niece, Roslyn Rogers Johnson, and her cousins William S. Deniger, Jr. and David B. Deniger. Ginger particularly enjoyed cooking, spectator sports, her involvement with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Houston Junior Forum, and her time spent working in the Houston real estate industry. Special thanks to Rita Conner and Ginger's other caregivers for their wonderful care during the years they spent with her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
