Virginia Martinez Puentes

She was preceded in death by her parents Elivorio and Higinia Martinez, brother Martin Martinez, husband Louis Garcia Puentes, son Abel Puentes, daughter Ruby Puentes, step-children whom she loved as her own, daughter Mary Ann Mendez, son Louis Puentes Jr., daughter Eulalia Puentes, son Louis Puentes Jr.

Virginia was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 8, 1937. She graduated from Roy Miller high school in 1956. She married Louis Garcia Puentes in 1957 and later moved to Houston to raise their family. She was a dedicated employee for 48 years at Zion Lutheran Mothers Day Out Preschool and also as the nursery attendant for Zion Lutheran Church. Her career there brought her so much joy. She nurtured multi-generations of children during her time there. She touched so many hearts and left love and memories with all the children she cared for at the church.

She will forever be remembered and loved by her family. She is survived by her daughter Higinia Puentes Craft (Steven Craft), son Manuel Puentes, daughter Eulalia Puentes Bernal (Ralph Bernal) and grandchildren, Manuel Frank Rodriguez (Corine Rodriguez), Cristy Craft Curl (John Curl), Gabriel Rodriguez, Abel Puentes, Louis Puentes, Jerry Bernal, Aaron Bernal (Valerie), Zachary Bernal, Seth Bernal and great-grandchildren Isabel Lopez, Kristiana Lopez, David Lopez, Abigail Rodriguez, Manuel F. Rodriguez Jr., Trenton Curl, Lakin Curl, Gavin Curl, Faith Curl, Danielle Curl, Gabriella Rodriguez, Diana Rangel and Aurora Bernal.
