Virginia Moreno Mendez, born July 22, 1943, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2014. Virgie is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Tomas Mendez, her son, David Mendez, her grandson, David Ray Mendez, and her only sister, Lupe Almarez. She also leaves many sisters in law, brothers in laws, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her sons, Tommy Mendez and Michael Mendez. Virgie was an angel on earth. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She never met a stranger. She welcomed everyone with a smile and always had much love to share. She was a strong woman who endured much hardship throughout life, but always had faith in God and trusted Him to see her through. Virgie brought so much joy and happiness to those who knew her. She always had kind words and a generous spirit. She would light up a room with her smile. Virgie opened her home and her heart to everyone. She gave all she had to her family, and always cared for them before herself. She will be greatly missed.
