Virginia Joyce Maresh

Virginia Joyce Maresh, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 25, 2024. She was born in St Louis, Missouri on December 22, 1941 to parents Cornelius Boyd Puckett and Sarah Evelyn Oliver. She met Frankie Maresh at a Parents Without Partners event where they Square Danced the night away and fell in love. Frankie and Virginia then married on November 12, 1994. Virginia was a multi-talented person where she enjoyed crocheting, baking, bowling, and spending her time with family and friends. Virginia travelled throughout her life and has visited many places in the US and abroad. Virginia was a devout Christian, although non-denominational, she shared her passion for the church and love of God through her whole life.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Frankie and her remaining children, Charles G. Milan II and Lynn Marie Collins; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Virginia lost her middle son, Kenneth Wayne Milan, on May 29, 2017 and she dearly missed him.

Virginia’s surviving children will miss her bright, and happy face dearly and especially at holidays and times of our family get togethers. Mom, we Love you and hope the Lord our God takes you and comforts you.

A memorial service for Virginia will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
