Our beloved Virginia Maxine Hamilton, 84, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 20, 2013. She was born in Jay, OK on May 3, 1929. She grew up in Castleford, ID where she attended grade school and high school. She was married to petty navy officer, JL Hamilton, in 1951 and they were married for 62 years. Virginia and her husband moved to Houston in 1953, where she worked as a bookkeeper at Bernard Johnson Engineering for 20 years. During her life Virginia enjoyed square dancing, sewing, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Virginia is survived by her husband JL, her sister Doris Denney, her daughters Terry Gordon and Sandra Walsh, her grandchildren Caitlin Walsh, Kelly Walsh and Kristin Gordon, as well as several nieces and nephews. Those who preceded her in death were her parents Frank and Julia Bishop, and her brothers Keith and Kenneth Bishop. The family believes that when someone passes, their life does not end, but rather changes. We know that Virginia has reached a place of everlasting peace. While we grieve her passing, with our grief comes the lightness of hope.
