Victor “Jimmy” James Green Jr., age 67, passed to his eternal rest on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 1, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Victor and Elizabeth Green, who predeceased him.
After graduating from St. Pius High School, Jimmy enlisted in the U.S. Army where he earned the Bronze Service Star and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1971.
He is survived by his sons James "Jeremy" and Jacob; daughter Marlena (husband Rémy); grandsons Luca and Milo; and brother Alan (wife Kim).
Visitation will be Friday, July 14 from 5-8 pm with a 7pm Rosary service at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W 34th Street. A service of remembrance with Mass will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 11am at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St, followed by a procession to the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 1pm, 6900 Lawndale Street.
