Vicki J. King

VICKI J. KING, 71, a loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother, aunt, sister and friend passed away September 13, 2010 following a courageous and tiring battle with Inflamatory Breast Cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents E.T. and Dorothy Copeland, husband Terry King and Brother Ray Copeland.

Vicki was the Executive Director for the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). She has been employed with the Society for 33 wonderful years. Her compassion for the Society was unconditional and the friendships she made had no boundaries.

She leaves behind her sons Robert, Bruce, Lester and wife Mary, Daughter Sharon Johnson and husband Peter, Step daughter Denise Marvel and husband Jerry, Sister, Connie Keefe and Sister in law, Penny Copeland. Grand Children Tara, Pete, Anthony, Martin, Jerry, Khol & Zane, Great-Grand children Layne, Avory, Adain, Shelbie, Caden, Lexan & Alyssa, along with many other family and friends.

All who knew Vicki will miss her enthusiasm, dedication and warm heart.

Visitation will be from 9-9 Thursday September 16 and 9-2 Friday September 17. Celebration of Life will be held at 2p September 17 in the Main Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale.
