Trinidad Trini Cantu

Trinidad (Trini) Barron Cantu, (1921 – 2012), was called home on June 26, 2012. The “dash” between the dates of her birth and death was a life lived as a devoted wife, loving mother & grandmother, steadfast sister, caring friend to many, and faithful woman of God. No words can express the loss felt by those she leaves behind. She is preceded in death by her husband Pablo Cantu and infant daughter Maria Cantu. She is survived by daughter, Selia Hughes; son and wife, Paul and Ora Cantu; son and wife, Pedro and Teresa Cantu; daughter, Linda Lange; son, Nick Cantu; son and wife, John and Jimmie Cantu; son, Michael Cantu, and sister and husband, Teresa and Bruno Scheffler. In addition to these, Mrs. Cantu leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 27 great- great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. The family thanks all those who assisted in the final days. A special heartfelt appreciation goes to Selia, Isabel and Lorena for the months of tender loving care they provided. Viewing will be Sunday, July 1st, 5:00 – 9:00pm (family 4:00 – 5:00), Rosary at 7:00pm, Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas. Service to be held Monday, July 2nd, 10:00am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 7539 Avenue K (Ave K @ 76th), Houston, Texas.
