Tracy Michelle Kotts
On March 11, 1972, a beautiful baby girl was born to proud parents Yolanda Evette Blackshire-Vicks and Mary Louise Gaston-Silas, her grandmother, who also gave her the name, Tracy Michelle Gaston. Tracy was the oldest grandchild of Bobby Gaston and Mary Louise Gaston-Silas.
Tracy was a good student as she attended Valley Oaks Elementary, Spring Woods Junior High, graduating from John H. Reagan High School in 1990. She went on to study English at the University of Houston.
Sharing her wisdom and knowledge, Tracy worked diligently at several law firms in the city of Houston. Eventually she found her passion working with students at Killough Middle School in the Alief Independent School District. She truly enjoyed spending time supporting her students in any way she could, especially by attending their after-school events. Tracy was a co-sponsor of the student organization, “Miracle Paws”. She was also a member of the Texas State Teachers Association. She served on the local Board of Directors, was an Area Director, and was currently a member of TSTA statewide committee.
On June 22, 2018, Tracy and Ronald Kotts were joined in holy matrimony. Tracy and Ron had known each other for many years and through their friendship, grew an undeniable love for each other.
She was a very caring person who loved to be of service to others. She was also very loving to her dogs and cats who were absolutely her babies.
Strong Christian values were instilled in Tracy by her grandmother and great-grandmother. She began her Christian Walk at the Community of Faith Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. Family values, family ties, and family love all describe what Tracy was about. We are all better for having had her in our lives.
Tracy was preceded in death by her Grandmother Mary Louise Gaston-Silas, Aunt Teresa Gallegos, Sister-in law Rose Godlewski, and Cousin Gabrielle Denae Gaston-Simpson.
