One of his favorite past times was softball. He managed the softball team at Stran Steel where he was the Superintendent of their warehouse before he retired. After retiring he and his son opened Extended Aftercare, a facility for recovering addicts, where he managed their softball teams. He also managed several softball teams at Berean Baptist where he was a member for many years. So you see he loved softball. After Berean he joined Northwest Baptist Church where he remained a member. Going to his lake house on weekends with his kids and grandkids and teaching them how to ski was how he spent the later part of his life. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa.
