

“Coach Tony”, Juan Antonio, Chacon, of Houston, Texas, suddenly passed away February 1, 2011. Tony was born in Houston on January 15, 1963 to Humberto and Carmen Chacon. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Humberto. He is survived by his mother Carmen, and by his Beloved wife, Carol D. Chacon, who he shared 30 years of their lives together and 23 years Happily married; by his son Anthony “Chico” Chacon who he was Very Proud of; and his Lovely daughters Diane and Danielle Chacon; sisters, Lourdes Montes and husband, Agustin, and Maria Olbrych and husband Dale; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many, many friends.
Coach Tony was very popular in Houston’s youth Baseball Community. He was Coach of the Houston Mudbugs capturing two consecutive National Championships, and many other State and Regional titles along the way; with the joy of his Life being watching his son Anthony and friends play baseball.
“Tony” earned his living as an Electrical Superintendant, and was instrumental in the Building and Renovation in many schools and University Buildings in the Greater Houston area, and was well Respected in the Houston Construction industry. Tony was a key figure at Gonzales Commercial Electric and was integral to them growing from a tiny company to a respected and recognizable firm.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a vigil service and rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran Street, Houston, Texas 77009. Interment will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
