I still think of Tommye and her older sister, Celia, when I look at the plaque she gave Loyd and me at our 50th Anniversary.  Now Loyd is in heaven too!

Did I already write one?  I surely do miss Tommye, having been friends with her sister, Celia, at Baylor.  Then Tommye and her husband came to our 50th anniv. in Chattanooga from Houston to surprise us!  Celia had been my bridesmaid .  Now I'd like her family to know that I still cherish those memories.   Especially now that Loyd and I celebrated our 65th anniv. this year, June 2023, but Loyd died last month September 2023.  So I know about grief.   God bless you all!

I am so sad to hear of Ms Tommye’s passing. While it has been years since I have seen Ms Tommey, I have very vivid and fond memories of her at Woodland Trails Baptist Church. She always had a smile on her face and was more than happy to lend a hand wherever needed. Such a lovely lady.

How do I write in words what I feel about us. You were my mother and blessed to have you. I will always love you and will always miss you.

Ms Tommie was one the best! a heart of gold. One of the few neighborhood moms you could go too, a second mom to some us, substitute teacher , i know i had her a few times at Inwood and hoffman, a after school tutor, type out alot reports on that manual type writer of hers, she was patches or jingles the clown for school or church carnivals, she would make you laugh with her silliness.   one the first moms with a car !  Get your coins to ms Tommie for gas monies.  She was a great friend and we will be miss dearly.   

Mrs Tommie you will be missed you were like a second mom to us Leago's after my mom passed .. I love you and say hi to my mom for me...💞💞

Tommye was married to my brother John & was always interested in his family. We like to think they’re celebrating their 44th anniversary together in heaven so shared this photo of them together. Tommye called me “Brother” & always said she was praying for us.  We were so impressed with her years of commitment & dedication as a volunteer at “her” schools.   

To the family of Mrs Tommye. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Mrs Tommye  coming into childrens church while I was teaching and share stories with them. She loved to teach Gods word and share the gospel with them. What a wonderful woman she was. May God give you peace during your time of sadness. Our prayers go out to you all.  

We just lost a great lady...  She was our other Mother, not just to us but to many in Woodland Trails North. 

She always beat to a different drum but she did give us many great memories & laughs througout our childhood. 

We will miss her dearly but we know she is out of pain & with her husband now.

Ms. Tommye, as everyone affectionately called her, was our neighborhood mom!  Everyone loved her that knew her!  She was always there for the kids in the neighborhood just to talk or share a story of if you skinned your knees.  I loved her very much along with my entire family.  She and John and Sandy came to many of our family functions over the years.  I am deeply saddened by her passing.  My prayers are with the family.  She was a wonderful women!
