Tommy Calvillo, 76, born in Inez, Texas, passed away December 14, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Tommy received a proclamation from the City of Houston for his 25 years of faithful civil service to the city from January 14, 1963 to January 15, 1988. In fact, January 15, 1988 was proclaimed “Tommy G. Calvillo Day” by Mayor Kathy Whitmire. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and dancing.
Left to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Bertha Calvillo; their three children: Alicia Salinas, Genaro Calvillo, and Edwin Calvillo; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Vallejo; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends. He will be dearly missed.
