Timothy “Tim” Kurt Peters, age 67, passed away peacefully in the early hours of April 01, 2022 at his home in Cypress, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born in 1954 in Akron, Ohio to Bernard and Elaine Peters. He became a true Texan when the family relocated to Texas in 1961 where he graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1973.
Tim began his career at the Harris County Sherriff’s Department where he served ten years as a deputy. In May 1992, Tim joined Houston Metro Police Department as a solo motorists and master police officer where he retired in August 2017. He later finished his career serving for Waller County Precinct 2 Constable. Tim’s Christian faith could be recognized by his generosity for others and unconditional love for his family and friends. He dedicated his life to serve and protect and was known by all as a “Gentle Giant” with a heart of gold. Tim loved to spend his time at the ranch in Giddings, Texas, floating the Frio River, boating on the lake, hunting, riding his motorcycle, playing the lottery, and enjoying some Wild Turkey while listening to classic country music with his loving wife Jennifer. If you knew Tim, you knew that he never met a stranger and had many stories to tell of his life experiences. Many memories included his love and respect for his brothers in blue.
Tim is proceeded in death by his father Bernard Peters, paternal grandparents Walter and Ida Peters, Reverend Paul and Ardella Hallman, and sister Connie (Bob) Dennis. Tim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jennifer, mother Elaine Peters, daughter Tiffany (Jason Ramsey), stepchildren Jeni (Eric Veenstra), Ashley (Peter Brown), Abigail (Ben Stachowiak), Stormy Sailer, sisters Nancy (Matthew Ciavarelli) and Amy Peters, as well as many brother and sister in laws and friends. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jaxon, Isabelle, Kinsley, Weston, and Wyatt. Tim has left many memories for those who knew and loved him that will last a lifetime.
We invite family and friends for a viewing and celebration of life and on Wednesday, April 06, 2022, from 5pm to 9pm at Brookside Funeral Home - Cypress Creek 9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095. Rosary will be prayed at 5:00pm.
