Timothy Paul Barnett

Mr. Barnett was born in Clarksville, Texas on January 26, 1946 to Kathryne (Whiteman) and Seth Barnett.

Upon graduation from Channelview High School, Mr. Barnett enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served in Korea.

In 1969, he married Janet Lynn VanZandt in Houston, TX. Together they shared a 36 year marriage filled with a love of family, travel, and poodles.

Mr. Barnett was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jan Barnett; and parents Seth and Kathryne “Kate” Barnett. He is survived by his brother Tom Barnett (Janice) of Longview, TX, nieces Rhonda Barnett Darby (Greg) of Montgomery, TX , Delayne Barnett Rasmussen of Albuquerque, NM, nephew Loman Barnett of Pine, CO and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins with whom he shared a lifelong bond. He is also survived by goddaughter Patty Breitkruez of Conroe, Texas.

Tim was a very kind and giving person. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 16th from 10am until the funeral service at 11am at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard in Houston. A committal service will be held at 1pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to Jan.
