Hi Tommy, was I mad when I read about your passing.  We had a promise of one day meeting when we were old.  We would drink Boones Farm, you would sing, and then we would trade pictures/stories of our spouses, kids, & grandkids. Then, I realize in your corky way you did just that, by the way after 35 plus years I found out I lost my "big brother of my youth".  Tommy, like always you kept your promise.  Now, you can look down and see how happy my life turned out too.  I will remember "my big brother" sitting on my couch singing "Sunshine on My shoulder" and giving me advise on getting out of a bad relationship.  The second time was the phone call after I remarried, making sure I was happy and reminding me of the promise
of meeting when we were old.  Whenever, I hear that song I will think of the kind gentle man of my youth who I could always run too. Lynn, I know it is a hard time, but please remember Tommy always kept his promises, so I know he is watching over you and the family.  I hope this little message brings you some peace. It has been one month today we lost you and it feels like forever.  I miss you more every day my love, my heart, my soul-mate.  You fought so bravely, not once complaining or asking for an explanation as to your illness.  You faced it as you did with everything in your life, with patience and a quiet gentle graciousness, with humor, and showing and telling us all every day how much you loved us and life.  Even your passing on that last morning was done with calmness and grace.  My light went out of this world when you left, and no matter how many people or how many times I'm told it gets easier with passing time, this I just can't believe.  I only hope I told, showed, and expressed my love for you enough, although I could never match how much you showed me and the girls.  I still turn to your chair to laugh with you at something funny, to ask you something, to reach to hold your hand, and it comes crashing back again you are gone. 
You are missed my love, the light of my life and we struggle on missing you every single day, hour, minute and second.  Meet me at the gates baby for your face will be the first one I want to see when I leave this earth.

Tom was like a father to me. Being Traci's best friend for 15 years he watched her and I grow up together. He was always there to take us to the mall, the movies, or other friends houses to hangout. He would take us camping in Huntsville, and invite me to family functions. I will truly miss you Tom. I will always have fond memories of the great times I spent with you and your family. RIP

Went to Resthaven Cemetary today to place flowers on my grandparents grave.  Most of the graves in the immediate area are people from Recreation Aces.  Noting a canopy set up for a service very close, I asked the man putting out flowers who the service was for and he said Thomas Parrish.   I remember the Parrish family  very well from FBCRA. I'm very sorry for your loss. 
I'm sorry I didn't make the time to see Tom more often.My prayers will be with you and your family. I'm sorry that I did not go by his side at the funeral home I just want to remember Tom as I have always known him. 
Tom was and has always been on my mind.I learned a lot from Tom over the years working with him at Delta Cargo we had fun times and I often miss that. He use to always give us girls a hard time in a fun way. 
I can remember when Vivian Duncan, Janice Mueller and myself started working in cargo and everytime we would have to ask a question that yeah we should have known Tom would just roll his eyes it was more so when Janice ask him something ( sorry Janice). We had such an awesome crew. There were many days when Tom & Oppie would just stay in their office because they knew they had a great crew they could count on. Tom I learned a lot from you & (Oppie) you taught me so much and because of that I'm blessed to be where I'm at today.
I will always remember your jokes and most of all you. So thankfull for that

Parrish Family, my deepest sympathy on your loss.  Tom will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know him.  His "can do" work attitude was extremely examplier and he always worked with a smile on his face. "Yes Sir can-will do" was always the answer I received whenever an assignmnet was needed. I really enjoyed my friendship with Tom, we got along as if we had known each other all our lives, right from the first day we met on the job at Delta.

The Dad who always volunteered to drop off the kids, pick up the kids, make room for one more girl in the car - and make sure all were safe, behaved themselves, and had FUN. We know there was a special place in heaven waiting for Tom Parrish.
