Thomas Mumford

Born in Glasgow Scotland on February 26, 1943, to Thomas Jardine Mumford and Janet Johnston Mumford, Tom was the second of three children. He is preceded in death by his younger brother Bill Mumford and survived by his elder sister, Jeanette Mumford.

Tom was a loving husband, devoted father, and accomplished professional whose legacy will endure in the lives he touched. Growing up in post-World War II Scotland, Tom worked from an early age to support himself and his family. From delivering papers to working in his community, he was driven to succeed. Tom began his career as a talented shipwright and engineer, dedicating his skills to building and innovating. His dedication, hard work, and intellect led him to become an executive and leader at various world-renowned firms, where he contributed greatly to the company's success and was respected by colleagues around the globe.

He shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Joyce. Together, they raised two sons, Simon and Derek, who admired their father for his wisdom, strength, and unwavering love. Simon Mumford is married to Diana Gonzalez Mumford, and they have a son, Jordan Alan Mumford, who was a great source of pride to his grandfather.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom will be remembered for his integrity, his passion for problem-solving, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and those whose lives he impacted throughout his remarkable life.

A private service will be held for close family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
