I am so sorry to just now find out that Tommy has passed. We grew up together living on Munger street in the East End. Living just one house down from me, he was always a great friend. Later on in life with both of us single again, we shared an apartment at Three Fountains apts. .  Some of my best memories were with Tommy, Steve and Mike riding motorcycles and doing crazy stuff.  Thanks for all of the good memories Tommy, Rest in Peace my Friend, we will have good times again one day. My Prayers are with his Family.

Tommy was an inspiration to fellow people in the classic car world and others as a simple and to the point type of guy who loved the "Old School" history in life and nostalgia.

He participated in many of our events at Niftee 50ees Saturday night gatherings with fellow classic car people and always willing to give a hand or advice when asked.

I personally admired Tommy for his efforts to maintain integrity to the preservation of classic cars and hot rods.   He simply loved the nostalgia captured and preserved with his efforts on what good times were really about in our classic car world.   Tommy participated in the HEB / Niftee 50ees downtown Houston Thanks giving parade several years back with his black 56 Ford pick up truck.

Tommy also took the Niftee 50ees golf cart to an Old School status for us back in the earlier days by converting to a taste of his liking Hot Rod Golf cart.   Many memories and discussions will forever be remembered.  

Tommy will certainly be remembered as an inspiration to many of us in the classic car world.

May he rest eternally in peace and tranquility.   Thanks Tommy for all you contributed and our thanks from Niftee 50ees

Randy Shannon

I met Tommy back in 1989.  We didn't really become friends outside of work for a few years.  Once we did, I was blessed and fortunate to have him in my life.  I loved Tommy for the way he lived his life.  He made decisions and stuck to them.  He always did what he said he would and showed up when he said he would.  He was fearless, deciding at 69 to start completely fresh on a whole new chapter in his life.  He was honest to a fault, I believe Tommy would tell the Pope he was wearing a funny hat!  He would give you his time and knowledge at the drop of a hat never asking anything in return.  He did not suffer fools but knew how to have fun and never take life too seriously.  He was a mentor, advisor, and friend and I miss him very much already.  

To call Tommy a friend is an understatement. He was family. I knew Tommy for only 15 years and I feel like it got cut short. My husband John and I made so many memories with Tommy over the years. Sometimes we'd just go over to his place to sit and watch TV with him. No new stories but just hang out. Tommy had so much energy and zest for life. He was one of those rare birds that you just don't forget. So many laughs, so many stories, it's definitely an end of a chapter for John and I. His life ended on a Hot summer night in September. Just the perfect weather Tommy liked. The man in black will always have a place in my heart. I miss you and will always love you. See you again one day my dear friend. 

I met Thomas in my early twenties. We lived in the same neighborhood, and I was into custom cars and trucks as well. And he was always eager to lend a helping hand and teach me things I might not have known how to do .He was a great dude and he knew how to throw a great party never a dull moment around Thomas lol.

Tommy and myself were next door neighbors for a few years. I will always remember us hanging out in the garage working on hot rods. He was a good friend.
