Thomas Wayne Howard

Thomas Wayne Howard, loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, returned home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 15th after a brief illness. Tom was born to Frank and Connie Howard in Marianna, Arkansas on December 15th, 1942. He lived in Arkansas, Mississippi, and various places in Texas before finally settling in the Spring area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step dad Harold Padgett, sister Ranelle Adam and husband Jack, brothers Russell Howard and wife Cheryl and Kearney Padgett and wife Jodi. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years Delphia Howard, his loving children Melissa Belcher and Michael Howard, his granddaughter Kendyl Belcher who he adored and loved being her Gramps. He is also survived by his brothers Frank Howard and wife Donna of LaMarque, Dennis Padgett and wife Brenda of Grandview, sisters in law Linda Looney, Patti Sanders and husband David, Rose Cantrell, and brother in law Larry Choate and wife Karen, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, all who will miss him greatly. He never passed up a chance to get together with family and friends, always making sure he ate dessert before dinner. He also leaves behind his daughters Lana Hosch and Laura Whittey and their families in Louisiana.

One of Tom's greatest joys was becoming an active member of the Knights of Columbus at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he could always be found serving at the Pancake Breakfasts, Fish Frys, and Fall Festivals. He made lasting friendships with many who helped him on his earthly journey and who were there with him through his final days. Tom was a big supporter of giving and charity, so the family asks that you donate to his favorite charities, Christ the Good Shepherd Capital Campaign, St Judes Children's Hospital, and the SPCA in lieu of flowers

A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christ the Good Shepherd, 18511 Klein Church Rd, Spring, TX 77379. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
