Thomas F. Grothouse

Thomas Frank Grothouse. Born April 10, 1927, Ft. Wayne, IN; died January 19, 2013. Son of Frank Thomas Grothouse and Constance Stoll. Navy veteran WWII, BS degree in Finance and Business from Ohio University where he met his wife Maxine of 59 years, and was charter member of Gamma Gamma Gamma fraternity. After 33 years at Tenneco, Inc., he retired to fish at his lake house, travel, square dance, and fly radio-controlled airplanes. He served 36 years in Memorial Hollow Civic Assn. and as trustee. He was precinct chairman and delegate to state political conventions in the 1960’s, youth advisor at St. Cecilia Catholic Church 1972-1975, and member of St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Survived by wife Maxine (Siders); children Patty Menger, Connie Schietinger, Pam Petty, and Thomas Frank Grothouse, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and sister Mary Vago.

Visitation Sunday, January 27, 2013, 4-5 pm and Vigil 5 pm at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway. Memorial Mass Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:30 am St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc. Dr., Houston, TX 77024.
