Thomas Gaetano Cuccia, Jr., passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Houston, Texas, on June 3rd, 1962, to Thomas G. Cuccia, Sr., and Mary Grace (Ferraro) Cuccia. Thomas Jr. graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1980, and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1984 and Certificate of Public Accounting in 1994.
Thomas Jr. spent most of his childhood weekends and summers on Galveston’s West End, where he developed his love for the outdoors. This passion led to many years of avid hunting and fishing that he instilled into his loving sons. He was a dedicated and loyal father that never missed one of his daughter’s dance recitals, even if it conflicted with some of his hunting plans. He also shared a love of the water with his sweetheart, Sherri, on many trips to Lake Wisconsin. This love for the water and fishing eventually brought him back to his beach house on Galveston’s West End, where he resided for his most recent years. He was a phenomenal role model, friend, brother, father, sweetheart, and will be dearly missed.
Thomas G. Cuccia, Jr., is survived by his two sons, Thomas G. Cuccia III and Jacob L. Cuccia; precious daughter, McKay Cuccia; his sweetheart of ten years, Sherri Mader; his brother, Joseph M. Cuccia and wife Charlotte; his sisters, Sharon Lawrence Guillemette and husband Sean; Karen Cuccia Brown and husband CB; brother-in-law Ronnie Garney; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Mary Cuccia, and sister Linda Cuccia Garney.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will joyously celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.
