I miss you so much I can't believe it's almost a year already.. My birthday was 2 days ago and I am now 18... I remember you saying you can't wait till I turn 18 and then we could go out and act dumb.. It's hard not having you here to keep me calm when I'm angry or at my lowest point.. You were always there and I couldn't have asked for anything more... I have so many memories with you that I will keep forever and so will my family... Even though your not here when I'm feeling down I just look at your picture and think of the good memories you left me with.. So it doesn't make a difference that you are gone because even though your not here with me physically I know your here in spirit.. Your family is my family and they mean the world to me.. I check in from time to time and if they ever need something I will be there because I made you a promise that I will never break.. There are the days when Leo comes out of no where and says remember when Thomas did this and when Thomas did that.. My family misses you as much as I do.. Thank you for always being there for me and never failing.. You will be graduating with us tomorrow on June 7,2013!! Congratulations on doing what you thought was always impossible bro., you will officially be a graduate of Stephen F Austin High School Senior Class of 2013!! You did it!! Thank you from being my big brother I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

We're going to miss Thomas very much all those moments we had will forever remain in my memory. It was inevitable but that brought a lot of people together. Thomas was my big brother who defended me from trouble he took care of me and worried for me. It was Thomas,Sabrina, Nora, and me, the denver harbor kids from austin who stuck together. it was an honor meeting you and having to spend the best moments of my high school life with you. We will all miss Thomas very much I want to thank all the people who have showed their love and respect. And Thomas we love you and miss you very very much:)

Thomas! I miss you so so much! I'll NEVER EVER EVER forget you, or the awesome memories we shared. You truly were a wonderful friend, even when no one else cared, you were there for me. I remember when we first met at McReynolds Middle School, in Ms. Dillingham's math and advocacy class. We would always have to race to 5th period so that we could get that seat that for some reason we always had to compete for. :) then when we came to Austin, I wanted to get close to you again, and after a while we did and you would always talk about how we were ”from the same hood”. I miss seeing you coming through the hallways, I could always tell it was you, because I would see that hat of yours bouncing up and down and I would say ”get ready, here comes thomas' crazy self”. You always knew what to say to cheer me up and I know I bothered you so much with my problems, but I'm happy that you never turned me down when I came to you for support. I can just think back and hear that loud chuckle you called a laugh, and it matched that enormous, cheesy smile of yours! :) we have to keep in mind, and in heart that it matters not how long you were here, but how big of an impact you made on countless lives. You may have lost your physical body, but you gained your wings, so that you may watch over your family and friends. May you continue to rest in an eternity of peace brother. Our honorary class of 2013 graduate, Thomas N. Chapa. I love you man. :)

Thomas we miss you very much, especially my girl Sabrina. I strongly believe that you are watching over my family. I ask that you please continue and gives us the strength we need to keep our spirits up high. We love you!

My condolences and prayers go up for Mr. and Mrs Chapa on the loss of their beloved son, Thomas Chapa. He was such a fine young man. He was one of my students in Saturday science tutorial who always gave his all. I would often see him in the halls with his folded baseball cap and he would respectfully take it off with a typical Thomas smile. He will be greatly missed at  Austin High School. God bless you and  Thomas enjoy your presence with the Lord Jesus,

Dear Chapa Family,
     The visitation on Wednesday was lovely. The number of people who came attests to the caring community of family and friends who feel the loss of Thomas. I did not know Thomas as a toddler and child, having only met him this school-year, but viewing the album of pictures from his younger years was wonderful and has enriched my understanding of the person he was.

I still cant belive your gone man, im going to miss you so much. I never even got a chance to race you, but I know one day we will see each other and then we will race down the clouds.

To my dear sweet Thomas, this is the hardest thing we have to do as we are not really saying goodbye but see you later. You will always be in my heart and never forgotten. I am going to miss your laugh and smiles. How you talked so much about cars and working on them with your dad and big brother. You had such a passion for them. You are a true angel and now you are up there with Mami "CoCo" watching over us all. I know now you are enjoying your new car club up there, just don't drive to fast up there. :) I love you mejo and will miss you deeply.

I haveknown thomas for years and we were really close like brother and sister. If he wasn't at home he was at my house watching tv, playing games, and just having a good time. He would always tell me my family was his second family. We loved him to death and we will never forget him.

To the Family of Thomas Chapa: My son, Ezequiel Galvan had several classes with Thomas since their freshman year at Austin High school and was devastated by this tragedy. My prayers are that God gives you comfort in coming days as you go through this trial.

Beginnning with his freshman year, I had the pleasure of having Thomas in my classroom. Because of how much I cared for him and his education, we built a relationship that 3 years later, all the way up through this summer school session, Thomas would come and visit me to fill me in on everything going on in his life. It's hard to believe that we were just talking last week.  He was a very caring, respectful, and cheerful young man and I will miss seeing him and catching up with him. My condolences to his family. I will keep you in my prayers.

This goes out to Thomas and his family. Thomas was a real close friend of mine and of many other people and he was always so happy. I pray for yall and hope we can get through this loss, but one thing is for sure... We won't ever forget Thomas because he is deep within our hearts.

My handsome, loving, charismatic baby cousin, as he has rose to heaven with our Beautiful Grandma, Mami Coco. As they are both in what you can call a Perfect World.
