Tommy graduated from Austin High School in 1964.
And then in 1965 he was drafted in the army and was sent to Vietnam to serve his country. While in Vietnam he found a little black bear and raised it until they sent it to Washington state zoo. When he came home he went to work for Armco Steel for 19 years until they closed in 1983.
He decided to open up a club on the northside called the greenback dollar and then later he opened up the Pantomime Club on Wood Forest. Tommy loved getting together with family for our picnics Christmas get together’s and all of the parties for birthdays
He had a love for cats.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; John Robert Chambers and Mary Margaret Chambers, sisters; Margaret Jean Stegall, Barbara Ann Rylant, and brothers; John David (Sonny) Chambers, Bobby Chambers, and Jerry Donald Chambers.
Tommy is survived by two sisters; Marilyn Carr and Phyllis Baimbridge, brother-in-law; Larry Baimbridge Sr., sister-in-law; Julie Chambers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Officiating the Service will be Larry Baimbridge Jr.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068.
