Thelma R. Jones, 95 of Houston, Texas passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. She was born February 1, 1923 in Whitehall, Texas to James and Lela (Patterson) Cummins. She was a former member of St. Stephens Methodist Church and former member of Eastern Star, she enjoyed watching murder mysteries on television and loved the theater. She had a sweet disposition and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 40 years, John W. Jones, Jr., and brothers and sisters, Emma Huey, Pat Schooley, Homer Cummins and LC Cummins.
Thelma is survived by children, Ronald Jones, John Jones and Susan Allnut; grandchildren, Amber Wildebrandt and husband, Danny; Kelly McCarty and Mike Grohman and Ashley Allnut; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Justin, Jared, Avery, Hayden and Kinleigh along with nieces, nephews and friends.
