Teresa Cantu

Teresa Cantu, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was born August 29, 1933 in Houston, Texas. She passed away on May 29, 2017. Teresa is preceded in death by a grandson, Dyhlan Murcia, her parents, Paul, Sr. and Luz Salas Garcia, and her brothers, Jessie Garcia, Lorenzo Guerra, Roy Guerra, Sr., and Rogelio Guerra. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Pedro “Pete” Cantu; children, Lenora Flores and husband Canuto, Mario Salazar and wife Janie, Rachel Diaz, Maria Isabel Alvarado, Rebecca Perez and husband Concepcion; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Edward and Paul Garcia.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4910 Cochran. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
