Sylvia Montoya Villegas, 64, born September 10, 1958, entered into eternal rest September 26, 2022. Sylvia is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Nicole Villegas, her parents John Montoya, Sr. & Jesusa “Susie” Montoya; brother: John Montoya, Jr. and sisters-in-law: Cynthia Diane Montoya, Rosalinda Villegas Garcia, and Maria Pena. Left to cherish her precious memories is her husband: Manuel Villegas, Jr., sons: Manuel John Villegas, III and Larry Mares, Jr.; sisters: Elizabeth Newton, Anita Wodjanowski, Lisa Montoya DeLeon; brothers: Daniel Montoya and Raymond Montoya; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Sylvia knew that she was the most loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt a family could ask for. She was known for her big-heartedness and hearty laughter. She loved spending time in the kitchen baking, decorating her house and front yard every holiday, and spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be October 2 from 3pm-9pm in the Brookside Family Chapel with Funeral Services on October 3 beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
