When we think of the journey of Susie "Honey" Bell Haynes, there are so many wonderful memories that we will reflect on that will be held close to our hearts! Susie "Honey" B. Haynes passed away Monday October 13, 2014. She was born November 10, 1929. Susie Haynes attended public school in Liberty, Texas. She united in holy matrimony to Clyde Haynes, Sr. on December 28, 1946. To this union, a son was born, Clyde Haynes, Jr. Susie was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant of God. She later became a member of Homestead Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R. A. Williams, where she served faithfully as the church clerk for many years. After the death of Pastor R. A. Williams, she became a faithful servant of New Rising Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emmett Walker; where she served as church mother and church clerk. As a young mother she became a Certified Nurse Assistant; she also worked as a presser for Pilgrim's Cleaners for the remainder of her working years. Susie had many gifts and talents and for a hobby, she loved reading and quilting. Susie leaves to her precious memory one grandson Paul Haynes (Carolyn Haynes); one daughter-in-law Bobbie Haynes; two nieces she raised as her own Evelyn Kathryn Broussard Abron (Jimmy) and Velma Lois Broussard who preceded her in death; two great great grandchildren April and London Haynes; also two devoted nieces Paula Broussard and Pamela Foote. Susie will also leave a legacy of nine great nieces and nephews and eighty-five great great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends.
