Susan Doyle Parham DVM, 60, loving wife of Ralph W. Parham, Jr, was tragically taken from her family and friends in an auto accident on April 13, 2013. She was born and grew up in Houston, Texas, where she was a member of Baptist Temple Church. After graduating from Waltrip High School, she attended Texas Tech University and then graduated from Texas A&M University, Cum Laude, with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She practiced small animal veterinary medicine in Houston, then in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and back again in Houston. She was a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association and the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association. From the first time she saw horses as a young child, they became her passion in life. She had many of her own horses, which she loved training and riding. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Love Doyle and beloved horses Dublin and Embers. She is survived by her father James Joe Doyle, Sr; husband Ralph Parham; stepdaughters Nicole Parham Butcher, husband David and grandchildren Cason and Jordan, and Shannon Parham Forbus, husband Jeff and grandchildren Chelsea, Ryan and Brooke; stepson Russell Parham; sister Eileen Doyle Brewer MD and husband Joseph Corriere MD; brothers James Doyle, Jr and wife Marjorie, Terry Doyle and wife Susan, and Timothy Doyle MD; aunt and uncle Mary Vivian and Van Keese; cousin Larry Keese DVM and wife Jane; many nieces and nephews; and her other beloved horses. Sue was a wonderful wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt to her large family, who loved her dearly. She will also be missed by the many people whose pets she tended with a smile and great compassion. Funeral Services will be April 20, 2013 at 10am at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation April 19, 2013 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, you may send a contribution to the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation Memorial Gift Program.
