Sue was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a fiercely loyal friend. She was known for her kind nature and generous spirit, and she was loved by all who knew her.
Sue loved to give - from a small knick knack to make you smile to a hand crocheted afghan. She loved Christmas and was renowned for her Christmas cookies, which she gifted to friends and family every year without fail. Some years she made over 100 dozen cookies to make sure no one was left out.
Born in DeKalb, Illinois in 1955, Sue was the second of 6 sisters. She moved to Texas in 1979, where she spent decades working in oil and gas.
She was a faithful Catholic who loved to collect angels and found grace all around her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son Matthew Kendall Harris and husband of 40 years Kendall Ray Harris, as well as her sister Ann Elliott, and brother John Elliott.
Sue is survived by her stepdaughter Catherine Harris; her siblings Kathy Trumbo and husband Steve, Donna Doering, Barbara Atkinson and husband Geoff, and Jennifer Plesa and partner Tyler, brother Dennis Elliott, and her grandchildren Caeden,Brantley, Amelia Shahrear. She also leaves behind many close friends she considered to be family, including the Tomlin family.
Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Brookside Funeral Home - Cypress Creek located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77096. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, with the service starting at 11:00 am. All friends and family welcome.
